Each week Comixology and DC Comics upload new old issues to their sites. I’m going to share the JSA/Earth 2 related ones.
JSA (1999-2006) #55
The four original members of the Justice Society head to northern Maine on Christmas Eve to help a dear old friend and super-hero in his own right: Santa Claus.
I loved this issue!
Sandman Mystery Theatre (1993-1999) #48
"The Blackhawk" finale! An investor’s group committed to supporting the European Resistance flies into an uproar following a murder in their ranks. Polish airman and Blackhawk Janos Prohaska is again the prime suspect, but the Golden Age Sandman plots to spring the young pilot from jail in a last-ditch effort to uncover the truth.
I’ve only read a handful of Sandman Mystery Theartre issues but everyone of them I’ve read, I’ve loved. I’m making my way through a bunch of Jonathan Hickman Marvel stuff now but I think once this series is finished uploading I will start from the beginning.
Superman (1987-2006) #46
Tobias Manning and his Terramen have returned, but this time they’re not facing the Man of Steel alone. The children of Alan Scott, Jade and Obsidian, are at the scene to lend a hand.
I remember seeing this in the comic store and always wanting to buy it as a kid but never using my allotted comic money for it. Today I buy and read it.
A villain who has plagued Max Mercury all throughout his long career returns for a rematch—this time made stronger and crazier due to the Joker’s handiwork.
Another series that I always wanted to read more of.
Young Justice (Classic Series) #9
Wonder Girl gets stuck with babysitting duties, but fortunately for her, Arrowette decides to lend her a helping hand. Unfortunately for both of them, kids around town are mysteriously attacking their guardians in violent and deadly ways!
Red Tornado usually plays a background role in these stories.
Wonder Woman (1987-2006) #177
While the Amazons build a new Paradise Island after the effects of “Our Worlds at War”, Wonder Woman pays her last respects to her mother.
I was pretty bummed when Hippolyta died.
